A plain-language summary of the current permission for playing eligible 48Tunes music during a livestream.

What this license covers

48Tunes permits eligible music in its catalog to be used as background or stream audio in a livestream when the music is played directly through the 48Tunes service.

This permission is available while using the free plan and applies to livestreams on YouTube, Twitch, Facebook, and other livestream platforms, subject to these conditions and the Terms of Service.

Conditions of use

  • Play the music through the official 48Tunes player while your livestream is taking place.
  • Use the music as part of the livestream rather than presenting or distributing it as a standalone music product.
  • Follow the 48Tunes Terms of Service and any platform rules that apply to your channel or stream.
  • Use only tracks that are available for playback through the 48Tunes service at the time of your stream.

Uses that are not permitted

  • Downloading, extracting, recording, or saving audio from the 48Tunes player.
  • Redistributing, reselling, sublicensing, or providing the tracks to another person or service.
  • Uploading a track as a standalone music video, audio release, downloadable collection, or similar music-only publication.
  • Claiming ownership of a track or registering it in a rights-management or content-identification system.
  • Bypassing playback limits, technical protections, or account controls.

Uses that require confirmation

The current published permission does not separately define monetized streams, archived VODs, clips, highlights, sponsored streams, or other edited and on-demand uses. Contact 48Tunes before relying on this license for those uses.

A written confirmation from 48Tunes may add conditions or apply only to the tracks and use described in that confirmation.

Automated copyright claims

Permission to use an eligible track does not guarantee that a platform will never create an automated copyright or Content ID claim.

If a claim relates to music played through 48Tunes, contact support with the platform, channel URL, stream or video URL, track and album details, playback date and time, claimant name, and any screenshot or reference number. 48Tunes will review the available information but cannot promise a particular platform outcome.
